A Music Stand Should Help You Play - Not Get in the Way

For more than 90 years, musicians have relied on Manhasset music stands for a simple reason: they work.

Stable. Easy to adjust. Built for regular use. And made to keep performing for years.

Whether you’re practicing at home, rehearsing with an ensemble, teaching a lesson, recording in a studio or performing on stage, a Manhasset is designed to be a piece of equipment you can depend on every time you play.

Feel the Difference Every Time You Play

There are plenty of ways to hold sheet music.

Manhasset stands are designed for musicians who want something more substantial than a lightweight folding stand—a solid, stable music stand that adjusts quickly and supports the books, folders, scores and devices you actually use.

Smooth, Knob-Free Adjustment

No knobs to loosen. No levers to tighten.

Manhasset’s Magic Finger Clutch lets you raise or lower the desk with a simple push or pull. The friction-tilt design makes changing the desk angle just as easy.

Adjust your stand with one hand and get back to your music.

A Solid Desk for Real Music

A full-size Manhasset desk provides a broad, supportive surface instead of relying on a lightweight wire frame.

Sheet music, method books, folders, scores and tablets all have room to sit securely, with a deep ledge that keeps what you’re using close at hand.

Stability You Can Rely On

A music stand shouldn’t become part of the performance.

Manhasset’s concert-style design combines a solid desk with a stable three-foot base to provide dependable support during practice, rehearsals and performances.

Set it where you want it and concentrate on playing.

Built to Be Used. And Used Again.

A Manhasset isn’t designed as disposable equipment.

Replacement components are available for many Manhasset models, including desks, shafts, bases and smaller parts.

That means damage to one component doesn’t necessarily mean replacing the entire stand.

The Classic Manhasset

If you recognize a Manhasset music stand, there’s a good chance this is the one you’re thinking of.

The Model 48 Symphony is our most popular music stand and the best all-around choice for most musicians.

Its full-size desk, stable base, smooth height adjustment and easy-tilt design have made the Model 48 a familiar sight in music rooms, rehearsal spaces and performance halls for generations.

Those same qualities make it an excellent stand for an individual musician at home.

Dependable support, every time you play.

Not Just for the Band Room

A lot of musicians first encountered a Manhasset in school.

There’s a reason for that.

Music programs need equipment that can handle constant adjustment, daily use and years of rehearsals. Manhasset earned its reputation in demanding environments like those.

But durability isn’t only valuable in a classroom.

The same stable construction, easy adjustment and straightforward design that work in a busy rehearsal room make a Manhasset a great choice for your practice space, teaching studio, church, community ensemble, recording room or home.

You don’t have to be sitting in an orchestra to appreciate a music stand that simply works.

More Than 90 Years of American Manufacturing

Manhasset began in 1935 when inventor and musician Otto Lagervall set out to improve the music stands available at the time.

In the early 1940s, the company moved to Yakima, Washington, where Manhasset music stands are still manufactured today.

Today Manhasset is 100% employee-owned.

The people building our products have a direct stake in our company, our reputation and the quality of the products carrying the Manhasset name.
